We are seeking a skilled Welder to join a machine shop environment, supporting fabrication and production of metal components and assemblies. This role requires precision welding, strong blueprint interpretation, and collaboration with machinists and shop leads to meet quality and production standards.
Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum (as applicable)
Weld fabricated components, frames, fixtures, and custom parts per drawings and specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions
Set up and adjust welding machines, fixtures, and jigs
Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and cosmetic quality; make adjustments as needed
Use grinders, torches, saws, and other shop tools to prep and finish materials
Collaborate with machinists, fabricators, and quality personnel to ensure part conformity
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all shop safety procedures, PPE requirements, and quality standards
1–3+ years of welding experience in a machine shop or fabrication environment
Proficiency in MIG and/or TIG welding (certifications a plus)
Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols
Experience welding to tight tolerances and cosmetic standards
Familiarity with measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, squares)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience working alongside CNC machinists or fabrication teams
Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent)
Experience with custom, low-volume, or prototype fabrication
Ability to perform basic fitting and fabrication tasks
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to bend, kneel, and work in various positions
