Position Overview
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Material Handler for one of our valued machine shop clients. This is an excellent temp-to-hire opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, staying organized, and supporting production operations in a fast-paced industrial environment.
The Material Handler will play a key role in ensuring machinists have the materials, parts, and supplies needed to keep production moving efficiently. This position will also assist with forklift operations, shop organization, and maintaining a clean and safe facility.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver raw materials, parts, and tools to machinists as needed throughout the shift
Move completed parts and materials throughout the shop using a forklift or pallet jack
Assist machinists and production staff with material staging and workflow support
Load, unload, and organize incoming materials and shop inventory
Maintain clean and orderly work areas inside and outside the facility
Perform general building cleanup, sweeping, trash removal, and shop upkeep
Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
Support additional warehouse or production duties as assigned
Qualifications
Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, machine shop, or industrial setting preferred
Forklift experience required (certification preferred but not required)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active throughout the shift
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
Ability to work well with machinists, supervisors, and team members
Basic understanding of shop safety practices
Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed

Position Overview:
We are actively seeking an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor for a respected local manufacturing client. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong CNC machining knowledge who can lead by example while supervising daily shop operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with CNC mills, lathes, and Mazak equipment, along with the ability to motivate a team, manage workflow, and maintain production standards.
This is a working supervisor role, meaning the selected candidate must be comfortable operating machinery, assisting with setups, troubleshooting issues, and supporting the team on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations of the machine shop and lead production staff
Assign workloads and prioritize jobs to meet production deadlines
Operate and assist with setup of CNC mills and lathes, specifically Mazak machines
Perform machine setups including tooling changes, offsets, and program adjustments
Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and production issues as they arise
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications
Ensure parts are produced within tight tolerances and quality standards
Inspect first-run parts and approve production runs
Train, mentor, and develop machinists and operators
Enforce safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized shop environment
Monitor productivity, attendance, and overall team performance
Coordinate with management regarding scheduling, priorities, and shop needs
Complete production documentation and reports as required
Requirements (Must Meet All):
Proven experience in a machine shop leadership or supervisory role
Strong hands-on CNC machining background
Extensive Mazak machine experience required
Ability to independently perform machine setups and troubleshoot operations
Strong blueprint reading and precision measuring skills
Experience holding tight tolerances and quality standards
Ability to lead, motivate, and hold employees accountable
Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
Strong communication and organizational skills
Please do not apply if you do not have Mazak experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Produces machined parts by setting up, and operating equipment, while maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining equipment/general housekeeping.
Set-up equipment. (i.e., zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches, proving part programs, etc.).
Operating equipment. (i.e., loads stock into position, verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces, and complete document requirements per Job Folder, etc.).
Operate machine with maximum efficiency and notify Manufacturing Manager if not meeting or exceeding production standard.
Deburr, oil (if required) and stack parts neatly and safely into the designated basket, box or pallet.
Maintains continuity among work shifts.
Any other duties as assigned, once trained.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a CNC Machinist (required)
